I don't know - it seems that over the last few years, enough hardware vendors such as #system76, #starlabs, #tuxedo, #pine and others have been a game changer for linux distros.

I mean, their machines run flawlessly on linux and you just don't encounter the 100 paper cuts of yore. Is it just me?

I love my #system76 #thelio and #launch - looking forward to a laptop when it is time to upgrade my old, now defunct, #Zareason one.

My current fad I'm trying to resist: buying a #Tuxedo computer.

My old #Lenovo is still doing great, and I know I do not need 64GB of RAM, 14 cores and 1TB of storage on a laptop, but...

After a journey of over 800 km in temperatures exceeding 40 degrees, and following discussions with customs officials and the payment of requisite fees, I have successfully completed the customs clearance process for the Infinity Book 16 Gen 2. Now, it's time to return home and prepare for the unboxing 📦 and the review 😁.

Just installed #elementaryos on my loaned #Tuxedo InfinityBook Pro. I must say, that although #TuxedoOS was fine, ElementaryOS surprisingly feels more native - trackpad gestures working out of the box, scaling is perfect for the DPI,… Stay tuned for a comprehensive review in a few weeks time.

Eben kurz opensuse tumbleweed ausprobiert, hier hat sich leider nicht so viel getan, ist irgendwie nicht eine Distribution.

Mit KDE angefangen habe ich glaube ich damals mit PCLinuxOS. Ist immer noch ein rolling Release Linux. Das war schwierig damals, regelmäßig schlechte Updates, aber sehr interessante Community.
Dann irgendwann Pardus mit KDE, war eine gute Sache damals. Wird leider so nicht mehr fortgeführt. Jetzt meistens MX Linux und Ausflüge fast überall hin. Derzeit zu Tuxedo und eventuell bald mal wieder zu Opensuse.

I always opt for a Linux-dedicated laptop. From 2014 to 2022, I went through the pains of using non-Linux laptops, and although it was a learning experience, the struggle was real. Now, my main device is the #TUXEDO Pulse 15 Gen 2, exclusively designed for #Linux, and it's a pure joy after dealing with Windows laptops and others for so long!
