Hello there! Wanna see a good idea implemented very badly? May I present, 's very own, **Smart Overcharge** function in some power sockets.

The theory is nice, when socket detects that the device connected to it is near or fully charged it will cut the power. That's good, useful, I see why it's here.

The implementation is a different story, but I'm explaining that in the comment to his post as it won't fit into character limit.

Setup a based smart socket today with home assistant. The local vendor had a locking which blocked me from attaching to tuya cloud but then registering with tuya smart app made it visible on the dashboard.

Next to flashing it with :ablobcatrave:

Mais, ça rends aussi le truc super complexe à utiliser avec

Du coup je pose mes recherches ici, mais je ne vais pas insister même si je pense que ça pourrais valoir le coup (y compris pour d'autres objets), je n'ai juste pas le temps.

For my second home, I use smart plugs with the app (HomeAssitant not set up there yet) so like you, can switch certains things on and off from a distance. Looks exactly the same as the plug

Anybody else having trouble with their WiFi lights lately? They were working fine-ish for a long time and suddenly and are asking if I have the correct local key. (I do, I confirmed it) They respond fine in the Tuya app, but Home Assistant can't connect.

This is one more reason I'm gradually moving to all local only and ditching Tuya.

If I'm using a bunch of devices, am I able to use to
🔹 Control them locally
🔹 Use Zigbee remotes to run routines like I do now
🔹 Control them remotely without a static IP, or full control of my router
🔹 Work with devices that still allow the plain wall switch to work like normal for non-smart users

❓

I'm trying to figure out where on my priority list learning Home Assistant belongs.

Also, what is the benefit over the normal SmartLife app?
