Sweet potatoes, I cannot believe I have not heard of **Abbott Elementary (Season 1 2022)**. A comedy series about school teachers tackling some political issues while being funny, moving and featuring mostly a black cast. Unbelievable and I thought I was jaded enough by /The Wire Season 4/.

No question asked this is just a straight recommendation.

Finished watching *Twin Peaks (Season 1 1990)* and it does have an uncanny feel to it which is kinda nice. Because of its editing style though, I think I need to do a pass so I make sure I know what characters are doing in each episode which I think it deserves.

Also, I kinda understand the reference in *Hi-Fi Rush*, the tone of *Alan Wake* and perhaps *Deadly Premonition*'s main character.

Finished watching **Dead to Me (2022 Season 3)** and what a nice conclusion. While it still features some plot contrivance, I do see it more as providence. What I do like overall is that in seeking justice or retribution is that things get needlessly complicated rather than forgiving, owning up and moving on.

I do have some nitpicks or issues but strong recommendation for two great flawed female characters.

While **Dead to Me (2020 Season 2)** does not have the same balance and quality, it is still a nice watch. Although it did have some excessive plot contrivance, it does deliver still on those moments and the ending is still on point.

I do hope it ends by the final season because the complexity might be ruining the show although I think they can still pull it off. The binging continues.

Finished watching **Andor (Season 1)** and it is nice to watch. I was kinda swept away by their notion of personal rebellion which is good. Also having a legitimate /Star Wars/ story without relying on nostalgia is very much appreciated like the force, lightsabers or fan characters. I can say though that the series picks up the plot at episode 3 so the initial episodes is setup.

Just finished **Firefly (Season 1)** and yeah it is an engaging TV series. Not forgetting issues about **Josh Whedon**, but still quite an interesting world built here. I do feel bad for two underutilized characters seeming to not have strong stories.

Finished watching **Bluey (Season 1)** and it is really good as an adult viewer portraying good parents which is rare in animation. For kids, I think I can easily recommend it as a solid watch without talking down to them which is also rare.

Can't wait for Season 2 but it did take some time to get through it.

So just finished **I May Destroy You** and it is another great TV series. I do like rape and consent as its central theme which is invigorating and brave. The ending too really nice and I feel it is itching my love for **Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind**

Can't recommend for casual viewing as usual because of the topics but definitely a strong recommendation.

After watching two good series back to back, I am starting to miss my beloved series: **The Wire**.

I remember crying so much at the Season 3 ending while not being a heavily emotional or dramatic series. Not to mention all its commentary about the systems of oppression and how people have adapted to it.

I should definitely rewatch all five seasons again. Just remembering the opening song and its variation is calling me.

My god, **Succession (Season 1)** is really good specially the ending. Although it has a technical difficulty (business) and hard to watch (morale ambiguity and loyalty), this has my highest recommendations.

The opening is really intriguing too. A family film that is controlled and so is the family by their patriarch with a nice piano track.

I miss watching **The Wire** right now.

Finished watching **The White Lotus (Season 1)** and I am quite impressed. The racial and socio-economic oppression and privilege is strong here. Hawaii as a setting is great here to elevate its theme as well as the music. The ending is very deceptive and I wonder if people will be stuck on the box.

Fully recommend the show and can't wait to watch the next season.

Watched two episodes of **Kaleidoscope** Netflix series and not feeling the show. The show is very safe, casual or disposable which you can feel from the episodes structure, pacing and characters. Without unpredictable characters, narratives or messages, this kind of show feels slow for me to watch.
