Well, that's the decorations down, and the cat only tried to kill me on the stairs three times. Ok so it was after sunset on 6th but we no longer live in a subsistence agricultural society... No fear of getting goblins though since my house is very much ⭐ No goblins.

I grew up evangelical and #Epiphany wasn't part of that tradition.
I'm still slightly confused about what it's about.
Visit of the Magi, the star, the gifts, all of the above?
And the 'epiphany' is that this child, Jesus, is a bit special?
I have seen it called #LittleChristmas but it is also the last day of #ChristmasTide & #TwelfthNight.
I'll be looking at food traditions associated with Epiphany later.

Traditionally, January 6 is the official final night of the #Christmas season. The evening of the 6th is known as #TwelfthNight, and in my household it's the time to take down and put away all the Christmas decorations for another year.

It's also my sister's birthday.

There are all kinds of positive associations connected to this day, and I hope we in the USA will reach a point where justice has been served sufficiently to be able to focus on those positive associations again.

Yesterday being #TwelfthNight I put away most of out Christmas decorations. These wee fellows remain to see us past Orthodox Christmas Day (7th Jan) and carry the light of the #Winterlude into this new year. They stay out until January hits double figures.
