Heute spontan Kai-Eric Fitzners #WordPress Website https://mondspiegel.de auf den technisch neuesten Stand gebracht und dabei gleich nach seinen Wünschen in #FullSiteEditing redesignt. Ist jetzt viel freundlicher als das alte düstere Layout. #TwentyTwentyThree #BlockThemes #BlockEditor Und das Arbeiten mit FSE macht echt Spaß! Dabei hab ich noch lange nicht alle Möglichkeiten ausprobiert.

#WordPress Das Arbeiten mit #TwentyTwentyThree läuft inzwischen ganz gut, aber einiges muss doch noch per individuellem #CSS geregelt werden, weil man es bei der Themeentwicklung vergessen hat. Zum Beispiel kann ich bei Buttons nur den Unbenutzt-Zustand einstellen, alles andere nur mit CSS. Dabei weiß man doch, dass hover, active, und visited mitdefiniert werden sollten. Sonst kommt vom Theme was, das nicht passt...

Beim Testen der kommenden WordPress 6.3 im Zusammenhang mit neuen Projekten sind mir einige Dinge bei Verwendung der theme.json bzw. Stile (Global Style) aufgefallen, die teilweise auch noch nicht so ganz „rund“ laufen oder ggfs. schwer zu finden sind.

Guten Morgen,
in der Tat. Wir entwickeln sogar aktuell schon zwei Projekte (sind noch nicht live) mit WordPress 6.3 RC1 (einmal mit #generatepress und mit #twentytwentythree)
Klappt alles gut. Keine Probleme. Allerdings bei Stilen (theme.json) gibt es nach wie vor Probleme: Beim Wechsel des Stils verliert man zusätzliches CSS.

Momentan arbeiten wir an einem nächsten Kunden-Projekt, bei dem wir auch wieder Twenty Twenty-Three mit einem eigenen Stil (theme.json) verwenden. Bis auf die mageren nicht unbedingt intuitiven Optionen beim Navigations-Block gefällt mir das immer besser. Es wird ... 👍😊
