@howrandom I wish I had an iPad or tablet of some sort to play #TwilightStruggle on, as well.

I have a lot of digital versions of board games on my iPad. I really need to play them more often after all this is the only way I’ll get to play #Root or #TwilightStruggle for the foreseeable future.

Your local feed should be all tabletop games folk. I’ve met some nice folks. My primary interest here is horror but I love #ttgames.

Just to help brainstorm:

IP burnout, bad IP games, theme tacked on, mechanical similarities to other games are common for #boardgamers.

If they play another #MCU game they may not want another.

This game has a low complexity rating on #bgg. #Manascrew is as much luck as many #MTG players can take.

My instruction needs to offset my experience. The closest I’ve ever come to divorce was teaching my wife how to play #TwilightStruggle.

My first wargame of the year 2023. #Labyrinth from #GMT . Terrorists (me) won, as you can see from the board.

I started it thinking, that it will be similar experience to #twilightstruggle , but it turned out to be a completely different game. Lot of dice-rolling. I am curious if the skill can mitigate bad rolls.

My wife played the US, but next time we will probably switch, because playing US seems hard. We also made few mistakes in the rules, but nothing serious.

I lost!
First impressions:
Interesting systems quickly create tension and paranoia. It feels like things can go wrong FAST. You have to play cards that greatly benefit your opponent. Made us want to go read about some of the historical events and figures that came up.
The rulebook is formatted like a wargame, which to me is like trying to parse tax documentation. Took me hours to read its main 12 pages. It could be a lot more accessible.

We're already talking about playing it again soon.

Holiday #boardgames day. Got together with a friend I only see a few times a year for a day of gaming. He introduced me to #BloodBowl quite a few years ago and we used to meet up weekly for games of #TwilightStruggle before he moved away. So now when we get together it's "okay, here's what I've got new or finally got around to playing that I think you might like..."

Two games of #QuacksOfQuedlinburg, a couple rounds of #Everdell and an introductory game of #DuneImperium is a day well spent.
