Maybe the goofiest part of the #twitexit is that #gamedev posts over here literally look better because MASTODON STILL HAS TRUE GIFs!

I think the images look better too, likely because of less aggressive compression?

Haven't seen as many true video posts, not really sure how it handles those (maybe we only do YT links over here no idea yet?), but. Gamedev here literally looks better. That's so incredibly silly and unexpected and great.

For matching your Twitter followings to Mastodon users, there's for instance Twitodon (https://twitodon.com/). Simple and selfexplanatory step by step tool to help you find your buddies from the Musk Exodus.

Biggest plus for me is that they also include the required security steps to cleanly log you out of the tool once you're done.
Haven't seen all that many tools that do that.
