I'd like to write this in English, too: Something I find increasingly interesting about #Mastodon is the different ways, in which #Apps organize the #Timeline: Even for one account it might look totally different.
Take @rodentapp for example, which shows the accounts that have posted recently. As of yet I don't know, how/when to use it really, but it changes, how you see it. And I'm curious where it leads.

I realized what I'm looking for most to replace Twitter is a way to keep up with others in my field (sociology, race & ethnicity, & academia generally). And well, LinkedIn IS all about work.

Since then, two bots have been created by @kommen and @ansgartrinkmann, that do this for the biggest instance (mastodon.social) and multiple German instances, respectively:

Threads may seem like it's doing well for now. If I could join it, I still wouldn't. The fact that the EU won't approve it should worry people. The EU has been unable to determine how this app will protect user data privacy. That's a red flag. I'll be sticking to Mastodon for microblogging and might consider BlueSky when it's fully available.
And honestly I could do without another Zuckerberg product.
