@profcarroll @mikarv I just received an e-mail from #firefoxmonitor saying one of my e-mail addresses is in the #twitterbreach of December 2022. However, this e-mail was used on an account that I deleted in January 2022 and I never reused it on Twitter since.

I guess this means the data is not really deleted, is there anything I could do regarding this and the fact that potentially, all these "delete account" buttons are decorative and that, despite the fact you delete accounts preventively, you still are in the data breaches? 😢​

I have at least 35 Twitter accounts (lol) because I start a lot of silly projects and only one - my main personal hypatiadotca account - got a @haveibeenpwned notification today about being included in the breach dump 🤔

These accounts are as old as 2009 and as new as Nov 2022 (though I understand that the breach set is from 2021).

Taking a mental health break from the bird site, but I had a morbid sense of curiosity about how everyone is reacting to the #DataBreach. It’s not trending at all and nowhere in my timeline! I had to search for it. 400 million accounts. Even if it’s not as bad as the alleged hacker is making it out to be, people should at least do what they can to secure their accounts.
