I've started the ball rolling on deleting my old tweets with tweetdelete.net - unfortunately I can only delete 3,200, but I'm looking at other, more comprehensive services.

Given the #TwitterExodus I'm amazed there doesn't seem to be some wizard coder coming up with a 'delete all' option at a reasonable price.

Ah well, If I can clear out just a few months back, it will be a start.

@tanjabueltmann I do have the feeling that here people are way more interactive, I'm enjoying the experience so far and I'm using it differently compared to other social. Just because we joined as #twitterescapee doesn't mean we should replicate the same experience. It's great to change and it's nice to have nice interactions with other users. Totally recommend this platform to my friends

The *biggest* thing, though, that I honestly *cannot stress enough*, and that i'd like every single #twitterrefugee, #twitterexodus, #twitterescapee, and so on, to remember, is that we're being accepted into *their* existing communities.

Millions of us are turning up at the digital doorsteps of the internet equivalent of a sleepy little resort town, where the one breakfast shop is run by a couple of friends who do it for fun on the weekends.

Elsewhere on here, I referred to myself as a refugee. It has been suggested (and given the current collapse of the Birdie place, probably appropriately) that I should use the word "escapee" - more redolent of jailbreaks and heroic stuff whilst not minimising the plight of genuine refugees.
