In 2023, we're #TwitterFree!
If you've read a great unproduced spec script from another writer and want to let people on Mastodon about it, this is what #SpecScriptShoutOut is aimed at.

The hashtag can be used any time, and the 2nd Thursday of every month is a shout out celebration day when it ramps up, and we boost the tweets that have used the hashtag.

We ask that people tag the writer in the post with the hashtag & include their script's title/ format/ genre & what they love about it.

@w7voa I implore you to remain #TwitterFree and remain active here on Mastodon.
Without the folks Elon now says "may or may not be notable" he and Twitter are irrelevant.
He needs to be forced to absorb that!

I did it!! #twitterfree Deleted all my tweet history, deactivated my account and blocked the app and website on my phone.

@WalterShaub My thinking is the longer we help Musk to keep Twitter limping along, by tweeting as normal on Twitter, the more time he has to see if any of the things he is throwing at the wall to make it a viable platform will stick. And he may get lucky.

I've opted to starve Twitter of oxygen. My very small part. All data wiped and I've locked and left. I know it's not a 1:1 user comparison too, as only about 25% (estimated) of all users actually tweet.

@MiguelSmizSuarez Ha! I thought as much. I don't believe for a minute though, that tweets are seen by as many people as Twitter claims. Not for a minute. :) Nor do I believe many of their quiet users are even active. I did an autopsy on my own followers and many hadn't been active for YEARS. Many others were brands, etc. I'm so glad to be out of there. I feel #TwitterFree and so happy. :)
