is real. Grief after is normal.

People tend to associate grief with death-related loss, but a layoff is definitely a loss. The collapse of community and a platform for connection is a loss.

We’re seeing waves of change coming from outside us:

Political upheaval
Climate change
Recession and inflation
Corporate recklessness

It can feel like something is being taken away, without our desire or consent, through no fault of our own.
