@QuiltyDawn @teresaberkowitz excellent! I encourage everyone still spending time there to make this their profile photo.
#TwitterlessTuesday is a movement to affect Twitter ad revenue and demonstrate our collective power.
@mrmartye I'm encouraging people that remain there to boycott every Tuesday to demonstrate the power of their collective action. #TwitterlessTuesday
@KeithTharp I don't go there much anymore except to offer mutual aid to blind/visually impaired users seeking assistance with #ALTtext via the #ALT4me hashtag. I've changed my profile pic to the following to encourage users still there to express their collective power and demand changes. #TwitterlessTuesday

@Hal_Brown @velshi I agree with you in general, that Press releases seem dated at this point. But press releases on official letterhead and then posted to social media lend an air of "official" and credibility to a statement, still.
And the press release system, from the organizations issuing them to the organizations redistributing them have an impact on search engine results, which is an important reason to continue to issue them.
I too prefer the Fediverse and spend more time here than the birdsite. But I still go back there to provide mutual aid to #BlindTwitter by responding to the #ALT4me request for ALT descriptions of images.
I've changed my profile pic to this though, to encourage folks still there to assert their power in the only language Musk understands - money. #TwitterlessTuesday is a movement to affect Twitter ad revenue and demonstrate our collective power.

@chartier Interesting and thoughtful article. Thanks for sharing. There's a distinct possibility that Twitter will not be replaced one for one, but rather it's users will spread to the four winds. A federated network like Mastodon would be nice, but it's certainly not certain.
But while Twitter still persists, we need to still fight for those communities that are still there, communities that took years to build and will likely take years to build elsewhere - if they are rebuilt at all.
That's why I think that we should still engage at some level but also collectively assert our power there. I propose that we collectively boycott Twitter every Tuesday, replacing our profile photos with this graphic, and slowly build support. If we can grow this, Twitter and its advertisers will see its effect in its analytics and maybe start to rollback some of the terrible decisions made in the past few week. #TwitterlessTuesday
Personally, I still go back from time to time to assist #BlindTwitter/VI and other marginalized groups still there.

@antifaintl @BetaCuck4Lyfe We need to a #TwitterBoycott to demonstrate our collective power to advertisers and the media. I'd suggest the first of the month or maybe #TwitterlessTuesday for quicker ramp-up.
EDIT: Here's a graphic I made. Make this your Twitter profile photo on Tuesday and encourage others to do the same. We will grow week by week.
