Because we all need more #hastags, I am backing #twixit until I stop doing that.

With Twitter taking even more negative turns, I've become more determined to close my account there.

But, I have Tweets of mine I would like to preserve, and thought I could rewrite them (thankfully, I don't have too many) and place them in a #DigitalGarden of sorts.

It wouldn't abide by the usual terms of a Digital Garden (https://nesslabs.com/digital-garden-set-up), but the idea of having short bursts of text interlinked together might create a nice place to collect my thoughts on being #ActuallyAutistic and learning more about myself.

Curious what other people closing their Twitter accounts are thinking about doing with their Tweets?

I believe there are couple of services around that will do the hard work for you but I'm afraid I can't remember their names. I'm guessing that if you stick something like '#twixit' into the search box here and doomscroll you may find mention of them.

Here’s my take on #mastodon. It’s the good bits of #twitter & #instagram (both of which I use but for completely different purposes).

It’s got the professional interest tribes, content- & dialogue-focus of the #birdsite but the more positive, supportive vibes of #insta along with more personal interest/hobby angles in how folk cultivate their presence here. And the #hashtags.

It all feels very introspective atm about what it is/isn’t due to #twixit but it’s quite fun experimenting.

Although I’m exploring this platform as part of the #twixit #twittermigration, I’m keen to understand the different vibe on here and not just park up with the same content/tone/expectations as on the “bird app”.

It might be easy to simply post as usual but I get the sense this is more considered, less knee-jerk as a platform - more quality over quantity?
