Welp, got my scar tape on and I set a timer for 8 hours (first few days 4-8 hours then crank it up to 12-24 hours afterwards) Apparently I’ll notice a difference after the first use? We’ll see about that. I saw my doctor today too and she agrees that my incision marks look REALLY good! (And they do!) \o/!

TIL about folk, and the tale is both sad but also very inspiring. Reading with a sense of loss in our cultural diversity, and the heavy hand which which colonial oppression has eradicated so much and still shapes our present notions of what's right and normal.
I'm also in awe of folk who carry on or revive this diversity, and while I have no direct part in it, I'm happy it happens.
It's mad how I never took notice for such a long time.

I have returned home from convalescing at my maternal grandmother’s home. I’m glad to be back in my own stuff, but it also means that I’m back in the chaos that is my real life.

I’ve also noticed I might need revision surgery to fix the appearance on the right side of my chest: I’m self-conscious.
