If a model has a perfect 50/50 split of purple and pink hair, do I make two tags, or just make a #twotone tag or something? Who knows? I guess I should know because I'm the one doing the posts.... Ugh! Breaking things down like this can be such a pain! I'm not the greatest with certain shades either, so I might perceive something as purple when it would clearly be a blue. Well, whatever!

It's kinda Lo-fi, kinda new wavey, Street #TwoTone and Street #Punk. At least that's how I'd describe it? It's kind of an eclectic sound, that I don't have much comparison for. Maybe kinda: Goblin City Rat Boys? Regardless, it's pretty cool!

Tight #SkaPunk and Melodic #Punk with kinda new wavey/post punky vocals, which lend a #TwoTone feel to the album. I should have already rec'd this but managed to somehow completely forget about it. It's really cool, and I won't be making that same mistake again.

#UB40, “The Earth Dies Screaming” 7", 12" singles and 7" included with some versions of #LP "Signing Off"
Before UB40 hit upon the formulaic license to print money that their Labour of Love covers albums became (a far cry from the unemployment benefits form that gave them their name), they were an earnest #PostPunk #reggae band from the same interracial UK milieu that birthed their spikier #TwoTone #ska contemporaries, heard in the States only on college radio. (Shoutout to #wrtcfm in #Hartford.)
The sophisticated yet biting “The Earth Dies Screaming” epitomizes the band’s purity at the time of their debut.
