After they murdered #TyreNicols-- in the video, their loud panting is palpable...all 5 over 200 lbs. Givhan writes this about their "exhaustion"😡

"It’s exhausting work beating another man down, breaking his spirit so that one can stand over him, pounding the life out of an unarmed man & calling it one’s livelihood."

Indeed! Every day police in the U.S. behave this way and call it their "livelihood"

Here's what I believe:

- As a potential juror: video playback is for contested sports calls, not murder cases that haven't even seated a jury yet.

- As someone with a loved one who prosecutes violent crimes: willfully watching a recording of a violent act for any other reason than executing your sworn duty is not only a desecration of the victim, but a deliberate injury to your own psyche.

- As a middle-aged white lady: Tyre, and so many others before him, deserved better.

As we reel in horror from his brutal murder at the hands of 5 police officers, let us remember and honor him

It appears that these police who killed #TyreNicols may have been put into an aggressive police unit when they were too new to policing and not sufficiently trained.

Another question, and there are many, why did no one see this coming? What type of supervision oversaw their behaviors? Were there no psychological reviews involved?

Most importantly, what is going on with other such police units?

This is heartbreaking for many reasons.

These were HUGE cops!! One of them could have easily gotten Tyre Nichols in handcuffs.

I truly hope Justice Officials get to the bottom of this unnecessary brutality and initiate changes in the Policing Policies & Procedures to protect citizens from this ever happening again.

Their is no room for rogue behaviors in the part of society that is sworn to serve and PROTECT us.

Tyre was not protected. He was brutalized and killed.
