I think this happens, when you have either some tabs open or you have no blocker like #uBlockOrgin installed.

By the way, Linux do a good job with memory management, this means it use as much as RAM memory as possible. It make no sense to have RAM powered but not used. That's the reason that during longer runtime the RAM will more and more filled. This are mainly caches, which can be freed in a short time.

So ähnlich ist das bei mir auch. Kein Google Zugang alles abgelehnt was ging. Standard apps durch #SimpleTools ersetzt. Allerdings #TrackerControl als DNS filter. Habe neben #fennec jetzt auch #Mull. Als Navi nehme ich meist #OsmAnd oder #OrganicMaps.

Am #Smartphone (leider noch kein #CustomROM) habe ich mich jetzt mit dem #Opensource Werbeblocker #AdAway, dem Browser #Mull, den Browser-Addons #NoScript und #uBlockOrgin gegen die permanente Trackerei im Netz gewappnet.

Found a Ublock Origin filter ruleset that gets rid of
Amazon's @stupid shopping cart contents right sidebar. Resource hog shows up on every Amazon webpage if anything is in your cart.

Go to the My Filters tab in Ublock Origin and enter:

amazon.*###nav-flyout-ewc, #nav-flyout-anchor
amazon.*##body:style(padding-right: 0px !important)

And those new CSS rules remove the cart contents right sidebar.

The only reason I use #FireFox on #Android is #uBlockOrgin and other add-ons' support.

Hey, just saying, if you use #duolingo and are on #android you don't have to have ads. If you use #firefox and add #uBlockOrgin you can go to duolingo[.]com and log in like normal. It works great & doesn't make you watch ads!

@Charadon The ad-brokers still get paid. I'd rather use #uBlockOrgin to starve them out of existence.

@dmarti I run both #privacybadger and #uBlockOrgin, seems to do the trick, has the side benefit of killing the stupid single page websites most of the time because they can't function without their advertising

@ospalh 1. ich empfehle #uBlockOrgin adblock Plus ist nicht so zuverlässig und wurde meines Wissens in der Vergangenheit schon bestochen 2. ggf. das hosts file anpassen, DNS Server mit Adblock liste oder gleich ein PiHole

Auf die Frage, keine Ahnung ich habe mal nem Freund einen Adblocker installiert, erst meinte er auf YT will er den aus haben um die Creator zu unterstützten aber mittlerweile geht es auch für ihn nicht mehr ohne.
