Some on Mastodon are pointing out that Wednesday's congressional subcommittee hearing didn't reveal much new info on #UFOs or #UAPs.

The importance of the event is that the US is promising to protect whistleblowers and pilots who report(ed) sightings. Before now they could be punished or fired.

This hopefully opens up a new era of information access. It's a momentous development, if the US sticks with it.
