Upgraded to Ubuntu Budgie 23.04 from 22.10. Smooth sailing except for Firefox. For some reason version 111 was bundled and therefore Firefox would not load it's profile (which was based on the previously already installed version 112). A "snap revert firefox" reverted back to version 112 and no more issues from there.

This is definitely an #UbuntuBudgie problem. I got a new mouse in response to this when it first happened, did NOT help. The mice that do this on Ubuntu are just fine on my MacAir.

Definitely software, seems likely it's Wayland related.

OK, here's a thing that IS better on Twitter than Mastodon.

#UbuntuBudgie will respond to complaints on Twitter within a couple hours.

For example, this jumpy mouse scroll wheel bullshit? What the heck is going on?

For the non-Linux people, if you're using Nvidia hardware and Wayland window system(very new) the scroll wheel is not a positive control for content in windows.

You scroll to the bottom, if it's more than needed, the content will "jump" back up a bit. It's infuriating.

So I did a thing today! Installed #fedora on my personal laptop, replacing my #UbuntuBudgie

Now to get set back up again.

@omglinux I’ve been using #UbuntuBudgie recently and it’s been great. Just took a dive into #Fedora using the Cinnamon desktop. I might have to check this out in April!
