@2ndStar oder auf dem Desktop ist die Auflösung plötzlich wieder runter von 2560x1440 auf 1920x1080 und will sich nicht mehr hochstellen lassen - Aaaargh! #Reaper users - I run Reaper Linux and had a computer crash. After setting up a new one and transferring over my Reaper, project, Wine, VST, etc. folders, the projects open fine, but although MIDI tracks show the note data, any Windows VSTs used in Carla are gone. Carla is there, and native Linux effects that were used show up in it. Just not the Windows VSTs. They (the VSTs all work normally for any new projects).

What would cause this? Is there a way to retrieve the missing instruments?

Luckily these were not critical projects, still I would like to know in case this ever happens again!

Aargh... installed a minimal #Debian stable setup with bookworm/12... SofAB... d*mn Nvidia drivers only work with Secure Boot shut off in Debian. With #UbuntuStudio and #Windows11, I can leave Secure Boot on.

I was able to install Debian with Secure Boot on. It's only the NV thingy that has to have SB off. Everything else works with SB*. Even though it's a minimal setup, I'll put on a couple of SL/OpenSim viewers... maybe three... Firestorm, CoolVL and yes the PC melting Black Dragon! YES!

Bueno, creo que se ha solucionado todos los problemas de arranque y graficos que tenia... El tema esta entre #Nvidia, #ubuntuStudio, la #kernel, #OBS, #WarThunder y un dock de interruptores de estos que os muestro en la imagen... He formateado, he instalado #LinuxMint y he desactivado el citado dock de interruptores y se acabaron los problemas de momento.

Tengo un problemilla con #OBS desde que lo actualice. Me pongo a hacer un #directo con mi juego habitual (#warthunder), y es como si OBS secuestrara el #driver de #sonido. El juego se queda sin sonido y no detecta ni la #tarjetadesonido. Si cierro OBS, funciona todo perfectamente. #Linux #UbuntuStudio #Kubuntu #LinuxGaming #gaming #streaming

Pues las narices... la 23.04 de #ubuntuStudio con su #kernel 6.2 y el driver 5.35 de #Nvidia sigue dando problemas.

Tldr: Ubuntu studio super, Bitwig na linuksie prawie super (nie do końca jeszcze ogarniam odmienny sposób zarządzania wtyczkami, ale za to działa dużo smufniej i stabilniej), Carla jako wtyczkowy rack super, Wine do windowsowych VST zupełnie nie super xd i wygląda na to, że po latach będę musiał zmienić uuuluuubiooony symulator wzmacniacza na coś innego...

Pues nada, ya tengo funcionando la version 23.04 de #ubuntustudio y sin problemas. Me han desaparecido todos las lineas de error del inicio y ahora arraca el equipo a la primera. La #kernel que trae es la 6.2.0, mucho mas avanzada que la anterior version 22.04 LTS que trae la 5.15.

Pues he tomado la decision de formatear esta noche mi #UbuntuStudio 22.04 LTS por no tener solucion al problema grafico que nos han originado al actualizar la #kernel. Voy a instalar la misma distro, pero en su version 23.04, que aunque no sea de largo soporte, ya incorpora una kernel muchisimo mas actualizada y quiero creer, sin problemas.
