We will have Rudra Saraswat @ruds telling us about #UbuntuUnity and #blendos

We will have some people from Canonical there and could perhaps do a panel+Q&A about applying and working at Canonical.

And I will give a talk about #Snap,

@eroc1990 Sort of but they ship with their own desktop environment. I like Ubuntu's Gnome desktop with the Ubuntu extension. That or the Unity interface that #UbuntuUnity recently brought back from the dead.

Honestly, I haven't tested Pop!_OS in a couple of years now so maybe I should give it another go.

Was trialling #UbuntuUnity for a while but kept having the issue where I could not have both my laptop and external monitor on at the same time, as they both have different resolutions. Not a good experience. 😞

Decided to go back to Pop, for now!

My #3 laptop is this heckin chonker of an absolute unit, a HP Pavilion dv7 from 2009 or so. It's been with me for a very long time, as the battle scars would attest. I got this from my sister as a hand-me-down after my 2006 MacBook died suddenly. It was the first computer I ever successfully installed #Linux on, #ubuntu 12.04 as a matter of fact. So that's why I'm gonna be installing classic #ubuntuunity on it tonight... (well, if the nvidia graphics drivers don't give me a hard time.)
