Manjunath, a pioneer in big-image-data management and director of the Center for Multimodal Big Data Science and Healthcare, was recently elected to the National Academy of Inventors. He developed the #OpenSource tool, BisQue (Bio-Image Semantic Inquiry User Environment), “to enable reproducible computer vision, bringing together data, annotations, and methods so researchers can reproduce results at any time.

#UCSantaBarbara has an archive of cylinder records, which they have been digitizing and putting online. I found this "Broncho Bill March", and wonder if there is a connection to Essanay's Broncho Billy (birth name Maxwell Anderson, later Gilbert M. Anderson). He might have inspired the song--or maybe it's the other way around and the song gave him the idea for his screen name.
