Temp'd for a heart-lung transplant surgeon at the #UCSF on Parnassus for a few months in '94. Transplant coordinator.

The Doc was investigating the use of porcine valves in heart surgery, but I didn't know that. He called me on intercom one day, requesting I come to his Lab. First time, just down the hall.

I knocked, he opened the door, and there was a hog, belly-up, sliced down the middle on an OR-like table just inside the door.

I threw up on his white coat and Nike's!
