I'm thrilled that we made progress in our disputes with the employers & a resolution may be near, but there's still a way to go before we make up for the pay erosion of the last decade
#UCUCommons members are united in our view that to #endthechaos we need equitable student distribution across the sector to demolish employers’ arguments on affordability of pay rises
Please vote in the #UCUNEC election for the #UCU Commons slate to push for systemic change in our sector

If you haven't watched the #UCU hustings (the official one, not the dodgy rally by "UCU Left" pretending to be a hustings), please do!
Emma Battell Lowman & @DavidHarvie are the VP & Honorary Treasurer that our union needs. Serious, knowledgeable, compassionate, & goal-oriented.
Don't take my word for it. Watch the hustings & it's crystal clear who the most qualified candidates are.
Please vote David, Emma, & all the other excellent #UCUcommons candidates for #UCUNEC
Casualisation is a scourge of the HE sector. It is a disgrace that a "world-leading higher education" sector exploits the labour of people on precarious contracts, driving many to use food banks, even as they deliver incredible research & teaching for these unis.
The #UCUNEC Representative of Migrant Members position is incredibly important & I'm proud to endorse Matilda Fitzmaurice whose compassion, experience, & intelligence make her a stand out candidate for the job.
Hear hear!

END THE CHAOS! In this video our candidate for Migrant rep, Vivek Thuppil, talks about why uneven student distribution is catastrophic for UK HE.
UCUCommons candidates for #UCUNEC are committed to ending the chaos. We've written about how it affects us all - link below 1/2
