Almost two years after the crash, the military involved in the tragedy began to be tried, but no one except the #Iranian investigation still knows their names or military ranks.

On June 24, 2021, the official forensic examination of the #UIA plane crash, which was conducted in #Canada for eight months, allegedly found no evidence that the plane was shot down deliberately.

The #UIA plane crashed on 8 January 2020 shortly after taking off from #Tehran airport. It was heading to #Kyiv. There were 167 passengers and 9 crew members on board, all of them died.
On January 11, #Iran admitted that it accidentally shot down a #Boeing_737 belonging to #Ukrainian International Airlines.

Seen the current standoff between Iran and the #UnitedStates, I do understand that #Teheran does not want to hand over the blackbox(es) to a company so closely linked to US defense and the pentagon.
