Here's a great post about quote tweets (QTs). Studies show they don't really increase toxicity and may even reduce it. Sadly for me, I encountered my first slight slapback from someone here (on mastodon) when I suggested not being able to QT was bad user experience. But I'm doing what everyone here does to get round this, I just link to the post. So hey, hopefully some of the tasty clients (Tusky, Tooot, Whalebird, Sengi) will offer this.

Guess they are dedup'ing with address, but may be #UID / other data as well
