Hab hier in Vergangenheit rungeheult, dass #Filter für geboostete #Toot|s nicht funktionieren.

Nu hab ich die Filterfunktion in #Fedilab wiederholt angeschaut und meinen #UIFail bemerkt.

Der String in der ersten Zeile beim Bearbeiten eines Filters wird selbst nicht gefiltert, es ist nur der Name des Filters. Wenn man dann weiter unten keine Begriffe definiert, kanns natürlich nicht funktionieren.

Uj, ist das schön, jetzt ist das ganze Deprizeugs aus meiner Timeline weg. 🤫😊🎉

I mean, this is basic stuff. Imagine if I hadn't give _some_ kind of context clue about where the link was. It's more frustrating that the hover state /looks like a link/, so this was an intentional choice.

Morning tech support call with the parents, 700km away. "We can't watch TV, it wants your gmail password".

Turns out it's been a year since I set it up. Looks like #googletv devices (in this case a #Sony) get a 12 month session. Also, they neither seem to support app-specific passwords, nor "enter this simple code into a web browser" auth mode. Nope, you have to type your main account password using the bloody remote control.

Fortunately, it's an account just for the TV. I did however have to reset the password to something simple (and insecure) enough that a 70+yo can enter it using an IR remote, un-assisted. #uifail

Thank you crappy parcel delivery service. Showing a map is only useful, if it actually contains information, otherwise you might as well not show it. #UIFail

I've got a DeWalt cordless drill and reciprocating saw set that I use occasionally around the house. It's a bit old, on its second set of batteries, but still works like a champ.

Well, the charger has a single LED that blinks in different patterns based on what it's doing. The problem: when you don't use it very often, you have zero idea what is a "short" and what is a "long" blink. So every time I get it out and start charging a battery, I'm stuck guessing: is it charging normally (all long blinks) or is it saying replace battery (all short blinks). Then when BOTH packs give the same blink pattern, you still don't know...

And the next fail - err, I mean, opportunity to make it better: Someone opens a report. Every mod/admin gets a notification in their own notifications part. Fine so far. Now, someone works on it and solves it, in whatever way, the report now has status Resolved.

The notification either should go away and not clutter the view, or at least show that someone already dealt with it.

Nothing worse than one, three or however many (by now) useless notifications.

Spoiler: Alle Codes sind immer nur Großbuchstaben. Was wäre denn das Problem, die App sich das groß geschrieben vorstellen zu lassen, statt den User zu zwingen... #uifail
