Uisge has a beautiful cascade of slipped stitch cables travelling from cuff to cuff up the outside of each hand, like a mini waterfall. I've loved exploring all the different patterns in my elemental mitts but I really think I saved the best till last! ⁣

Moving the thumb stitches off the needles is my favourite stage of knitting mitts. They suddenly take shape and start looking like what they're meant to be!

Whenever I start a pair of mitts the cast-on looks so tiny there is no way you could possibly get your hand through it. I love how, once you've knit a few rounds, the stretchiness comes through and it works!
