#michaelashcroft contributed substantially to the gradual recovery by #ukconservatives in the 2000s. He did provide a lot of targeted support to parliamentary candidates and is credited by some with most if not all of the thirty seats gained by them in the 2005 General Election. He fell out spectacularly with #davidcameron later on.

Of the £12bn 🇬🇧 government spent on #PPE during Covid, £8.7bn has been written off!
Part of this is down to panic buying increasing prices - something that could have been avoided if Jeremy Hunt MP had taken action on the findings of Operation Cygnus, but 1/3 of kit bought was unusable, no doubt largely due to #UKConservatives VIP lane!
