First crop of #RunnerBeans and some more #rhubarb from the garden. Much better crop than last year (both non existant). It's weird, because the courgettes, marrows and cucumbers were great last year, rubbish this. #UKgardening #GardeningMastodon

Anyone in the UK know what to do if you find duck eggs in the garden? 😬 The nearest body of water is quite far from here and across several roads! I have no idea if these are even viable, saw a duck around ages ago but not since.

I did cover them back up once I found them. Luckily did not damage any!

My poor tulips took a battering from an unseasonal heavy hailstorm here in the southwest UK this week, and the leaves aren’t looking great, but somehow the flowers hung on. #gardening #UKGardening #EnglishGarden (Burgundy with orange edging is Muvota, with yellow edging is Gavota, orange with red flash is Princess Irene, big yellow is Mrs Scheepers and small yellow is Blushing Apeldoorn but lacking in blush. Potted on my ‘regular’ tomatoes as they’re getting too big for the propagation cells. I’m also trying beefsteak and plum varieties this year - we’re in a warm part of the UK and our garden faces south so I’m hoping they’ll do okay outside. Even so, I’ll have more plants than space so I’ll probably give some away at work. I’ll have spare aubergines too. #gardening #UKGardening

Flowers are remarkable- just look at how the anthers are protected form the frost by the petals do Hardy Fuchia Mrs Poppel - can’t say I saw any bees about and I don’t know hope long the flowers will now last, but just lovely. #flowerphotography #ukgardening #MacroPhotograhy
