The concrete had an expiration date, ignored it for 13 years because is for friends’ pockets only, now and are starting to close off sections that are clearly falling apart. It was entirely preventable and will now a fortune to survey and fix and probably be outsourced to another disaster creating ... which is every in a nutshell.

Use of trained models in public institutions should be pretty simple, if they use one AT ALL then they should have to publicly post the exact model they use so we can all see exactly how shit/racist/incompetent it is.

@VModifiedMind and even now, when well maintained, it's fine. But has been starving schools and hospitals of funds for decades

US spy-tech firm Palantir was a shoo-in for a multi-million-pound NHS contract months before the deal was signed, emails obtained by openDemocracy appear to show.

The email exchange from 2020, in which senior executives discussed the budget for a new national data platform, sees more than one person referring to as the recipient of the funding.

UK GOV's Dartford Crossing charge website update not going so well I think...
Last week an email saying I'll need to login to re-enter my card details after *but not before* the 28th
On the 28th: "website down for maintenance until Sun 30th"
Mon 31st: "To manage high demand, you have been placed into a queue." ...my web request has been in this queue for > 30 mins now

MPs’ £86,000 salary should be doubled, says senior Tory Sajid Javid

You know what... I agree, let them live comfortably, but they may have no 'second job', no financial interests, business or 'advisory' roles at all, none, and their every fart is sampled and analysed for the faintest whiff of corruption. If any is found, they're jailed for treason.

I don’t know whether to read anything into the Open Rights Group’s website being down. There’s been a lot of coverage lately about UK Gov planning to spy on our messages, and ORG’s open letter to them. Thank goodness for archive.org!

This is all both baffling and wearily unsurprising:
