UK heatwaves are some of the most confortable and joyous times for me. It’s so nice to look outside and see the sun shining in a place that’s usually so gloomy, to be able to wear shorts and sandals, or simply walk outside barefoot, to be able to hang out outside or go to the beach or river without worrying about extra clothes. Plus I never burn this far north, so I don’t even have to worry about sunscreen. #heatwave #ukheatwave #lovinglife

Tonight it is 14°c that’s as low as it gets here overnight, strange oppressive humidity and waves of heat going through house, sweat pouring out of us. Son is making good use of the electric fan, no one sleeps tonight because of heat and humidity. Cats are little worn out from heat we are all coping ok with it, expect this is the case throughout UK stay hydrated all. #UKHeatwave

Cat is done with this heat. A small flying thing has flown in through an open window and any time it ventures near her, the lack of effort she puts into trying to swipe at it is utterly comical. 😾😹

It's only lunch and Walton on Thames is already at 38 C, not sure if this is an officially counted measurement but that is only 0.7 C off the UK all time record and there are a few hours of heating yet today. #UKHeatwave
