It was solid cloud here in Oxfordshire but all 4 of our #RaspberryPi #MeteorCameras caught the flash through cloud. Not the most exciting video, but still cool! The mag -5.6 #Fireball that many people saw at 6:54 this morning was picked up on several #GlobalMeteorNetwork #RasberryPiMeteorCameras that are part of the #UKMeteorNetwork. Its ground track was near the Welsh border. Read the full report here: https://tinyurl.com/4pf6r8hp

We detected so many #Geminids across the #UKMeteorNetwork last night that Mark had to run the solver twice. The total number of matched detections was around 2,200!! The detection rate was over 300 per hour around 3am; that's absolutely mental! #Geminids2022 #MeteorShower #meteors #RaspberryPiMeteorCamera

Then the #Ursids peak two days before Christmas, with a likely rate of 10. No moon for this one. #MeteorShower #PopAstro #UKMeteorNetwork
