Slightly strange slogan from the ZSU: Be a cat like the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

I get that this is a new social media campaign, «Важко, але варто» (hard, but worth it) and I understand the be friendly, be strong, be accurate etc. versions.

However, my cats would be absolutely useless in a war: they literally wee themselves at fireworks and run into glass doors at the hint of a vacuum cleaner. The kitten pictured would be similarly pathetic I think. Babusias on the other hand...

Apologies for Ukrainian language mistakes 🇺🇦🙏

Kyiv mayor, Vitaliy Kitchko, wrote on telegram,

"Help for Kherson has left Kyiv today. From the metropolitan community, we prepared and sent necessities for the city freed from the Russian barbarians.

We found out what is urgently needed and are handing them over to Kherson, in particular: 5 passenger buses, 4 trucks, a bin lorry, an excavator and 2 ambulances. As well as 11 generators (2kW and 5kW) and medical equipment: 30 ventilators, 30 breathing apparatus and consumables.

Food products: food kits and 10 tons each of oil, sugar, and cereals have been delivered to Kherson and nearby settlements. Also, warm blankets and clothes, building materials and tools.

We plan to provide financial support from Kyiv to Kherson. At the next meeting, the Kyiv City Council will consider the allocation of 50 million hryvnias, just as we allocated for the reconstruction of the cities and towns of the Kyiv area that suffered from the occupation by Russian barbarians.

Today is difficult for everyone, but we must help each other. To stand together and win."
