De hecho, me resulta muy esclarecedor el hecho de que Byrne se inspirase en el Superman de Donner, mientras que las películas de Spiderman, TODAS, sin excepción, se han basado en muchísimas cosas de Ultimate Spiderman. Al revés.

Y, sin embargo, no se le da a la obra de Bendis, el crédito suficiente.

Me viene a la cabeza porque estoy leyendo Ult. Spiderman, y la sensación que tengo es de que Bendis es muchísimo más respetuoso, cariñoso y está más comprometido con las etapas con las que se siente deudor. Conformando una visión moderna bastante más consistente del personaje.

43. Ult. Spiderman #45 a #47. Estos 3 números (edición española, volumen 1) tienen historias cortas, cada una de 2 números. La primera, "este cuerpo no es el mío", sugerencia del editor Nick Lowe a Bendis. Tiene cosas divertidas, aunque muestren a Logan siendo un pederasta.

Después de esa tontería, que queda fuera de lugar tras la muerte de Gwen, tenemos un Team-Up con la Antorcha Humana, en plan salseo juvenil estudiantil, que está bastante maja y profundiza en secundarios como Liz o Flash. Not bad.

Y la última historia, otro team-up, con Dr. Strange, su versión Ultimate. Está... curioso, pero sin más.

La verdad es que esto de hacer pequeñas historias tras un acontecimiento tan intenso... no lo veo. Me ha parecido insustancial. Una pena.

The jagged-line #covid recovery continues: yesterday I helped run a big event for my kids' #Ultimate program. I went home for a nap, recognized when I needed to get out of the sun and sit down, and generally made it through the day.
