I have been doing daily #typing via the #edclub (#typingclub) platform for six months. I have a suspicion that I might be experiencing a slight addiction.

Accuracy stayed reasonably constant, but I have doubled my speed. Also, doing it on a #ultimatehackingkeyboard makes it even sweeter.

@root42 I use an #UltimateHackingKeyboard v2, split and tented, with the trackpoint module on the right and the scroll ball module on the left.

Liking the #UltimateHackingKeyboard after a few days! Having a thumb-accessible trackpoint is a game changer (though the cap is pretty rough, so I've got a smooth one coming). And keeping the halves shoulder-width apart feels comfy.

This game + #UltimateHackingKeyboard is a match made in heaven. I suck at it at so many levels (and by that I mean at the first level) but it's still an enjoyable experience/challenge. I need to train my brain that:

ESC = Mod + `
Arrows = Mod + ijkl

Spent a few days with #Keychron K2 keyboard. Not bad in general, wireless connectivity works just fine. But #UltimateHackingKeyboard v1 is still superior. Layout is much better, and I realised that my fingers hurt without a split.

Finally got the key cluster and now it's complete. #uhk #ultimatehackingkeyboard

I am mildly annoyed that the Space “bar” switch on my Ultimate Hacking Keyboard v2 just died on me after 6 months pretty gentle use. However at least it came with a switch puller and I could swap it out with one I don’t use.

I’ve bought a pack of 10 for £6 delivered from mechboards.co.uk so not exactly a big financial setback.

Using split keyboards though I realize how I learned to type wrong — my left hand reaches for Y and my right for B 🙃

@sarajw I have an #UltimateHackingKeyboard and I love it. It's a split 60% #keyboard, and I have it set up in "tent" mode with the palm rests, which is much nicer on my wrists than a normal keyboard. It was pricey, but worth it for something that I've spent literally thousands of hours using. The new V2 looks even better.
