My all-time favorite plant sighting was this #UmbrellaMagnolia #Magnolia_tripetala observed in #HockomockSwamp — yes, THAT swamp of #BridgewaterTriangle fame. This #tree is certainly an escapee, but how it came to the middle of the enormous #Spooky wetlands is a good question.

I have since planted this species in my yard, along with our native magnolia.
