And now for something totally different.... Making (6) #gin based #umeshu. 3rd Year I am doing this now, after experimenting with some other spirit bases, I found gin worked best giving the umeshu a more flowery (is that even a word?) aroma and flavour compared to normal umeshu.

This year we decided that since we already have several jars of umeshu (plum liqueur), we’d instead make twice as much plum syrup (alcohol free) as usual this year.
