Among them the magnificent crowned figure who appears to command the wheel of the five senses. This morning I looked into my #coffee. Can you see what I can see? The likeness is, in my view, indisputable! But what does it signify? #Medieval #Uncanny #Likeness

How easily is a world made strange?
A morning cloaked in a veil of haar. Eerie refrains of sonorous foghorns. Cries from the non-human world — close by, yet source unseen. Ghost boats are anchored shadows and angles. Buildings — there but not quite present. The horizon is lost. The sky is an edge.

Not really that weird but it baffled me last time.
How do you enter a short story submission to Uncanny?
I got so confused earlier this year, I pressed the blue link but every time I went there it still seemed to say it would be reopening on a certain date and it never seemed to open, though the date got further away.
If anyone has done it, can you please guide me through it? Many thanks.
