@stoll_martin I know that there are also more fancy algorithms for unfolding with regularization, but in my case it was honestly not necessary, because in my case M had only 4 dimensions and was very close diagonal (little migration) and even just inverting M gave the same results as the χ²-minimization method, though now I'm aware we might also have just solved an equation. In our case we'd like for the equation solver to propagate the #uncertainties, but I assume that should be possible

There are two aspects to this:
1. #Uncertainties in future land use land cover that will impact the local temperature response to #aerosols.

2. Uncertainties across land models that cannot be resolved only through coupled simulations.

Another aspect that is potentially important relates to #geoengineering and how changes in diffuse radiation due to #aerosol injection could impact the local #climate response.
