Day two and it’s really sinking in that it’s all over. After 19 years I am finally getting my Bachelor’s degree. I’m kinda trippin’. I had at least 2 major periods of time where I sat out and stopped for a while, so I was in school around 12 years total, but over the course of 19 years. That’s my entire adult life. I am about to turn 40 and I’ve been in school most of that time. It’s mind boggling. #college #BachelorsDegree #finallyDone #adultLearner #unconventionalStudent #BA

I should mention that I did earn an associate's degree in 2015 at a community college. I can't sell myself short there. But for me, a four-year degree was the ultimate goal. I wanted a bach degree. Partly I wanted to one-up my sister, who got her associate's years ago. So stick it, Amanda. I'm a bachelor of the arts now. But also to prove to myself that I had staying power and could get things done. #collegeGrad #unconventionalStudent #graduate #stickItSister #finallyDone #finalsWeek

Today, I officially submitted my last #finalExam of my college career. This marks the end of a very long, sometimes painful, always trying odyssey that began in 2001 when I graduated high school and has seen the death of family, at least 5 relationships, and countless other events. I have cried, I have been joyful. I won't walk my graduation now, it's just too expensive. I just want to get my degree and start the next chapter of my life. #college #unconventionalStudent #adultLearner
