Dans l'espoir de créer une clé #usb sous #windows10 afin qu'elle puisse démarrer l'ordinateur à partir de l'image #iso d'installation d' #ubuntu

C'est pas faute d'avoir tenté #etcher, #rufus et #unetbootin

Les bonnes vielles manières, sous linux :

$ cp ubuntu-22.04.3-desktop-amd64.iso /dev/sda

/!\ en s'assurant bien que /dev/sda est la clé usb destinée à l'installation

Alright, #askfedi, how would you go to create a bootable USB drive to run a live medium distro (like say, #PuppyLinux), but leaving the media writable so as to enable things like persistence or even direct file storage? dd won't do this.

Aeons ago I'd use #unetbootin, but it looks like the project is dead. Could this be the time I finally set off to try mighty #ventoy once and for all?

Kann mir einer sagen ob #unetbootin auf #ubuntu2204 wieder installierbar ist über die #Repo auf der homepage? Bekam immer fehlermeldung das es keine Pakete gibt die unterstützt werden.

Sono 2 giorni che provo ad #installare un flavour di #Ubuntu sul mio #Thinkpad, e arrivato al 60/70 % di installazione di blocca sempre con questa scritta, è una cosa SURREALE. Ovviamente ho già:

- scaricato varie volte la/le #ISO via #torrent e verificato il #checksum sia corretto (lo è)
- provato a creare la chiavetta usb con qualsiasi SW, tipo quello di #Canonical, ma anche #unetbootin o anche dando un semplice dd if= of=
- verificato il disco e la ram
Si accettano consigli dal #fediverso 🙂

Okay nerds: what makes #YUMI, #Rufus, #UNetbootin, and #balenaEtcher different things that should each exist?

So, what is the thing with #balenaEtcher and #unetbootin with #Ubuntu2204 ?? Both are not working.. What ISO writers there are left to use? #distrohopping

Bon j'ai essayé d installer #artix os conseillé par #gebull mais pas moyen.
Déjà l iso n'est pas reconnu par le créateur de disque de démarrage soit j installe #unetbootin qui lui veut bien. Mais quand je le mets sur le Pc à installer pas de boot donc je réessaye avec une autre clé usb pareil , j essaye une autre installation (lubuntu)avec la même clé pour savoir si c'est l ordi merde complètement ça marche.
