ICYMI: An excerpt for my latest story released today, titled 'The thin blue line'

He tried in vain to wrestle free from the restraints as he came to. The ropes were bound tightly around his wrist and ankles, as life slowly ebbed from his battered and bruised body. Repeated blows came from the darkness with such brute force, hammering him from every angle, as he howled out in agony, pleading with them to stop.

In the fourth instalment of the 'New Beginnings' series titled 'New Beginnings: Taken', Lee discovers the identity of the stranger that has been tormenting her family since her move to Malandra. NEW STORY: In today's story 'Under the Skin', we meet a character who uses his tattoos as a form of self expression to immortalise a man who he has loved, and lost.

People too easily judge those with ink and I want to explore some of the factors that motivate people to go through with getting their bodies permanently marked.

She is forced to make an unenviable decision; torn between finishing the job she was contracted to complete, or following her heart and ignoring every one of her instincts.

In 'Dinner at Eight' meet Elizabeth, the host of a society dinner with a murderous plot. The meal is served and the stage is set for her ultimate revenge.

This was probably one of the more ambitious pieces I've written, as it is a period drama with a plot that really needed some careful planning.

I'm looking at the upper end of the word range, but I may even move into the short story realm at some point.
