Today's most funny support request @ungleich:
C: The IP address ending in 151 does not work.
≠: The IP address ending in .151 is not assigned to you.
C: But I ordered 51 IP addresses.
≠: You have .100 to .150.
C: THAT IS ONLY 50!!!
≠: It is actually 51.
Project meeting with a customer today. We discussed which network protocols and encryption can be used for accessing a product.
The notes were recorded in a word document named "....v7.docx". The comment from our support team to the writer: when you send it to everyone, make sure it to bump the version number, so it's clear that it is a new version.
Just opened my mail and you are guessing right, I received "...v7.docx".

A customer bought a #VPS recently and after buying, we got the following support request:
C: I just bought a VPS, where can I pick it up?
≠: It is a virtual servers, you can use SSH to connect to it.
C: But it said I can use it from anywhere and I am going to travel.
≠: That is ok, anywhere you have Internet you can access it.
C: I need Internet?
≠: Yes, you do
C: Can I then come and pickup the VPS and the Internet?
≠: Sure...
A recent exchange with a customer, to move forward project A, during a sync meeting.
Q: Did you update the information for project A?
A: I updated something else.
Q: But what about project A?
A: I am getting of the train now.
Sharing a bit about support requests that happen @ungleich, sometimes it feels very similar to #userfriendly. The excerpts I'll be posting over the next weeks are all real, but might be slightly edited to not reveal customer identification. I'll tag the posts with #ungleichsupport and hope it will also put a smile on your faces.
