Separate data and programming logic. It's definitely not a new idea. I very well remember the times of #unhosted where we were working on this approach many, many years ago. It was around the same time as identi.ca and status.net. I only see the connection now. Damn. @evan (status.net et al) and #Michiel (unhosted) actually were at the same decentralised Meetup at FOSDEM many moons ago.
