A few months ago #Unihertz announced an upgraded tiny #Jelly phone; the Jelly Star. Like their other recently launched phone called the Luna, the Jelly Star comes with light strips on the back for.. reasons.

I'm personally not a big fan of LED stuff and try to avoid it when I can, but the Star also comes with much better specs and Android 13. The Jelly 2E definitely felt held back by its subpar specs, even though it's still usable of course.

I discovered #unihertz phones today, they are so small! And with sd card 😍. Like normal portable devices should be, imo. (well, maybe a bit to small, but better than too large). And they seem to be available in Europe! I'll know that in case my sony xperia xz1 compact definitely crashes (running perfectly fine with #lineage 20!)

Great #article from #TheVerge going over the #UnihertzTitanPocket and the downfalls and pros of the device. Even though I, myself have moved on to the #TitanSlim from #Unihertz. The older model still has some features I wish the slim retained like microSD and headphone jack.

@NakjiKiss3 ...yes I booted up my #iPhone just so I could make this photo. My tiny little #Unihertz #Jelly wouldn't be able to do this view much justice -- which I'm still using full-time, just a few days shy of three months into this one-month personal challenge.

Full-time other than when I want to hang out the window to snap a photo of the mountains, that is 😂.

I was pleasantly surprised late last week when my #UniHertz #Jelly 2E let me know that there was an actual software update available for it.

It's probably just a bug fix/enhancements release, but I'm happy to see the company continues to support the device, at least up until now.

As much as I love the #Unihertz Titan Slim, I just wish it had a better processor like a #MediaTekDimensity instead of a #MediaTekHelio, along with more software updates such as 3 years of Android updates per a phone, especially if they sale the same phones every year.

My choice of #secondary #phones, #unihertz really does make solid #keyboard phones.

The latest creation from Unihertz is a 5G version of it's dual-screen TickTock series. The TickTock-S is powered by a MediaTek 5G chipset and retails from approximately €260.

Six weeks into my one-month #DigitalMinimalism #challenge of using a #Unihertz #Jelly 2E instead of #iPhone. I'm still using it, it's great.

It's definitely not *perfect*, but I also don't miss the iPhone as much as I thought I would. I do sometimes boot up the iPhone for a YouTube video or so sometimes, kind of like using it as a tiny tablet of sorts, but other than that it's been going fine with the Jelly. I love how tiny it is -- except when typing, of course 😅.

I have to say the #unihertz Titan Slim is probably one of the best phones to use with Mastodon because it's bigger than the Pocket and it's easier to type on.
