Am Sonntag beginnt Europas größte Freilandausstellung für die Grüne Branche - Die #demopark 2023.

Dort wird von Mercedes-Benz u.a. der erste #Unimog U 430 mit wasserstoffbetriebenem Verbrennungsmotor vorgestellt. Nachdem von #Fendt bereits Wasserstofftraktoren in Modellversuchen unterwegs sind, wird mit dem Unimog, dem Schweizer Taschenmesser der Landtechnik, eine wichtige Lücke für eine dekarbonisierte Zukunft der #Landmaschinen geschlossen.

All I want a #unimog we can use for hauling heavy, bulky kit to tree planting events which doesn’t need fossil fuel in sickening volumes. Until that #hydrogen vid I thought this is a ludicrous idea… the kind of vehicle that needs £500k of batteries so is heavy enough to render it useless for its main purpose of hauling heavy kit, & certainly as manoeuvrable as a whale off road.

Turns out this might not be as unrealistic an ambition as I’d thought after all. Perhaps it’s just a year or few away.

Aktuell testen wir das Waldbrand-TLF (TLF 3000) vom Land Niedersachsen. Mal sehen wie sich das Fahrzeug hier in der Region so schlägt. Das Fahrzeug ist ein Unimog(U5023), der Aufbau ist von Schlingmann.

I've been tossing and turning the idea of a mini figure size Unimog with portal axles for the last few months. Yesterday I decided I had spent enough time on the frame so I designed various versions of the cabin and tried to get the two together. These renderings are the closest I've got to a result. I might even build it.
The design doesn't have the robustness of a Lego model. It's too fragile. Top is 6 stud wide, frame is 5 studs and mostly Technic.
