- UNIONIST parties have refused to publish membership figures – despite past calls for “transparency” from their opponents.

Scottish Labour, the Scottish Conservatives and the Scottish LibDems all failed to say how many members they had when approached by The National. -

And I've said before that if the #unionists want to cause chaos, all they need do is to all nominate as #ScotGovFM which ever of #Yousaf and #Forbes *loses*, because that could split the #SNP block and force onto the SNP a First Minister that the majority in the SNP do not want.

But either way, the majority of folk in Scotland have no say.

For ‘L’anarchie’ and the #individualists around them, syndicalists were wrong to place their efforts in workers, arguing it was wrong for unionists to invest value in the working class, for as long as they remained workers, this had little to do with their realization as individuals. As such unions were held in contempt, maintaining the world as it was constructed by bourgeois reality, therefore #unionists and other working class activists were seen as the unwitting dupes of #capitalism. It’s not hard to see why such ideas would foster resentment from those inside the labour movement, who also suffered persecution from a hostile #bourgeoisie .

If the bùrach of the SNP leadership race is too depressing, the antics of the Labour-Tory-Lib Dem coalition at Edinburgh Council may provide some light relief. That said, Labour voting for compulsory redundancies is no laughing matter.

The Old Left refers to the #leftists, #activists, #unionists, #students (or all of the above) who fought for an independent #Singapore free from British #colonialism. Many suffered detention without trial as political prisoners, some for many years. Even after the PAP came to power—off the back of the Old Left’s mobilisation—activists were detained without trial in the 70s, even up to the 80s.

Reminded by a post from someone who's decided to move to Scotland.

I'm a #Yorkshire Scot. Grew up in #Leeds. Started uni in Aberdeen, age 18, in 1974. Been here ever since. Close on 50 years.

The only fok who've told me I'm not Scottish have been #Unionists (and only a handful of times) and Scottish #poets.

Hate the phrase '#NewScots', byraway. Maks ye feel ye dinna really belong. 'Haud it, ye've no been here lang enough te hae an opinion'. Gonnae no.

When all those #introductions were flying past a day or so back on the mastodon.scot local feed, it was very noticeable that those who expressed a preference were almost entirely supportive of #scotsindy. I'm wondering why that is.

Would Scottish #unionists choose a uk server rather that the scottish one? Are they less vocal about the issue than we gobby #cybernats? Or maybe they find Twitter fine?

Not interested in an argument, just curious.
