@pa1ejo @Datagraver Interestingly, I read last night when the whole #UnitsOfAlcohol #rabbithole opened up (and now I can't find the link), that the average over-18 years old Dane consumer 10 litres of pure alcohol per head each year - which seems high now I see the dutch numbers. Do you include the under 18s here? They were clear that these consumption numbers include only legally purchased alcohol in Denmark, #holidayDrinks + #Moonshine were not included!

Good grief: A stunning example of inventing something to make this other thing simpler but actually it's now just twice as complicated...

@coprolite9000 well given each country defines it's own unit of alcohol, perhaps we could all choose out own name so that there's less confusion.
The French van have the Cliquot but I think the Danish should be a Jacobsen (after the founder of #Carlsberg who was also a noted philanthropist and gave the world stabilised #yeast to make consistent #Beer),

en genstand = en Jacobsen...
